Analysis of the Impact of „Made in China 2025 and Industry 4.0 on the International Human Resources Mangement
This paper focuses on the consequences of the „Made in China 2025“ and „Industrie 4.0“ models on the international HR-management in relation to intercultural differences. The production sector will experience great changes in the coming years. The purpose of this analysis is to identify needed actions in the HR-sector in order to prepare the workforce for the challenges ahead and therefore help to accomplish the goals set by the future models.

Chinese multinationals in Germany: Institutional proximity, local networking and knowledge exchange
The Institute of Geography of the University of Giessen (JLU) and the Lower Saxony Institute for Economic Research (NIW) are together conducting a research project on acquisitions of German industrial companies by Chinese multinationals, which is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The objective of the research project is to study the organization of internal knowledge transfer processes, the handling of institutional distance and the impact of the acquisition on upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain. This will contribute to the scientific and public debate on the prospects for Chinese M&As in Germany.

Foreign direct investment from emerging markets in Germany – scope, investment priorities, motives and strategies of companies from the BRIC countries
The work focusses on the study of multinational companies from emerging markets, specifically the countries Brazil, Russia, India and China. The aim is to work out country specific approaches to dealing with investment commitment, as well as identify any striking differences in investment behavior within Germany, on the basis of a comparative country study.
