Highranking government and business representatives from Beijing visisted companies in Hanover, as well as the University and the parliament of Lower Saxony
HANNOVER. 06.04.2016. A Chinese delegation from Beijing visited the capital of Lower Saxony today as part of their trip through Europe. Highranking government officials of the „China Association for Quality“ (CAQ) and business representatives (e.g. smartphone-producer Huawei) gained an impression of the academic and technoligcal landscape of Hanover. The delegates were led by JIA Fuxing, president of the CAQ and chairman of the disciplinary commission of the SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council). Guided by co-workers of Dr. K&K ChinaConsulting, the Chinese guests followed a tight schedule. The main focus was laid on the themes of quality-control and innovation-management in relation to „Industry 4.0“ and the digitalization of work processes.
In the morning, the managing director of WABCO, Jürgen Heller, welcomed the delegation after their arrival from Hamburg to the production facilities of the market leader of automotive braking systems in Germany. A guided tour through the facilities enabled a specific exchange of professional expertise between the German and Chinese engineers. Jürgen Heller emphasized the focus on the individual co-workers and their investments into HR at WABCO to assure and maintain quality. He was excited to see a great level of interest on the Chinese side.
The lunch – very Chinese like: Asian food all you can eat – was followed by the visit to „The Hanover Centre for Production Technology“ (PZH) of the University of Hanover in Garbsen. There, the vice-president for international affairs, Prof. Dr. Monika Sester welcomed the delegates from North-China. Afterwards the members of the delegations were given the opportunity to experience the futuristic production technology at work on site. The Chinese guests were especially impressed by the technical equipment and the world-renowned qualifications of the different institutes, as well as by the already established international cooperations.
On the way to the parliament of Lower Saxony, the visitors were able to get a quick impression of the beautiful Welfenschloss, the main building of the University of Hanover. A clear sky allowed the sun to highlight the Herrenhäuser Gardens, the new city hall and the „Waterloosäule“, so that the capital of Lower Saxony was able to present itself from its most beautiful side.
At the Georg-von-Cölln-Haus, vice-president of the parliament of Lower Saxony, Karl-Heinz Klare, welcomed the delegation to the conference hall of the parliament. A guided tour through the impressive, although just temporarily and provisionaly established chambers finally led the delegation to an appointment with members of the parliament. The conversations were mainly conducted by Dirk Toepffer of the CDU party. With the support of Mr. Rainer Fredermann, the German politicians had the chance to engage in constructive conversations with the Chinese government officials. The discussion centered around current issues and topics in the state of Lower Saxony, as well as the political measures to support the progress of innovation with regards to the „German Industry 4.0“ and „Made in China 2025“. The conversation wrapped up the program of an exciting day full of new stimuli.
The managing director of the management consultancy Dr. K&K ChinaConsulting commented on the visit: „The top-class visit of the president JIA Fuxing of the CAQ constitutes another sign of the fact, that the north of Germany – but especially Lower Saxony – is becoming more and more present in the Chinese awereness. They’re visiting this region to find best-practice-examples and qualified partners for cooperations in relation the topics of „Industry 4.0“ and „Made in China 2025″. We are very happy about this development and are excited to welcome the next delegation, which we’re also looking forward to gain as a partner for exchanges with our company that is otherwise mainly focussed on specific projects for our clients.“
