FOCUS ON THE CHINESE DIGITIZATION STRATEGY REMAINS EXCITING – EXPERTS DISCUSS
HANNOVER / FRANKFURT. CHINA’S TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP AND EUROPE BETWEEN THE FRONTS is the topic of today’s discussion on the innovation panel. The educational standard in Germany and Europe will remain one of the important fields. In times of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is clear that Germany has missed out on digitization. European best practice examples for smart cities such as those in Stockholm for reducing CO2 by directing traffic flows or the mobility platform in Zurich remain without role models and imitation activities. The importance of the 5G network expansion and the sensitive and necessarily orchestrated coordination between the energy, telecommunications and housing construction industries with the political actors represents the competitive advantage in China for sustainable and competitive development.
During the discussion, Dr. Diana Kisro-Warnecke critically points to the German situation and stresses the need for this will to develop. The fact that bureaucracy and data protection represent obstacles in Germany and endanger the security of the business location is, in their opinion, also a question of communication with the stakeholders: where the benefits of transparency and data release are not sufficiently communicated and shown, progress can hardly be implemented. “We will not be able to successfully master the catch-up race in the area of digitization in this way. Within Europe, we should also dare to take a look at the Swedish, exemplary digitized society, ”says Kisro-Warnecke and looks admonishingly at the digitization strategy of the Chinese, which is also carried out by Kai von Carnap des MERICS.
After Burkhard Balz (board member of the Deutsche Bundesbank) closed the Asia Day of the 23rd Euro-Finance Week with his closing keynote, all participants are aware of how finely orchestrated, strategically clever and far-sighted the Chinese government is planning its Silk Road initiative until 2049 and is already doing so has fundamentally implemented. What specific effects and mechanisms are behind this and how a customer company can improve its own market position from the transfer of know-how as well as from the innovation lead;
Our team regularly presents this in individual C-level workshops and focuses on the essential sectors of energy, telecommunications, automotive and housing. The triad of data, energy and communication forms the successful cocktail of the future in order to sustainably implement the concepts for a multimodal mobility platform, cost- and emission-saving smart cities and blockchain currencies.
